Optional Demographic Data

The demographic data collected by Antiquarian Book School Foundation is used to support fundraising and outreach efforts, informing our work by helping us understand the demographics of the audiences our programs are reaching. These questions are optional and responses will not impact eligibility or participation in ABSF programs. This data will not be shared outside of ABSF, and will be anonymized for internal use by ABSF staff and board members to support programmatic funding opportunities and to identify which communities our programs are reaching. Responses to these questions are not shared with application reviewers during the review process and are not included in the application review criteria.

AGREEMENT

If awarded the fellowship, I agree to participate in virtual and in-person fellowship activities as described below. Excluding Field School and week-long Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-MN, I understand that the average time commitment for the fellowship is roughly 5-10 hours per month.

  • Attend virtual meetings and participate in online forums with Antiquarian Book Seminar faculty and staff, other Fellows, and Antiquarian Book Seminar students and alumni
  • Work with the ABSF Administrative Director to identify fellowship goals and project/s, establish mentorship, arrange fellowship logistics and travel, and other administrative tasks
  • Complete surveys and questionnaires related to the DVF program logistics and outcomes
  • Attend the Field School program in New York; tentatively planned for the week of May 15 2027
  • Attend the Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-MN) in Northfield, MN, likely in mid-July, 2027 (Dates TBD). Please see this sample schedule from the 2026 Seminar.
  • Communicate with Mentor and Administrative Director to develop and implement a fellowship project, such as issuing a catalog of books for sale or exhibiting at a virtual antiquarian book fair, and share process or product from the selected project with the ABSF community
  • Follow COVID-19 protocols at all fellowship events

I hereby confirm and certify that all of the information above is accurate and truthful to the best of my knowledge. I certify that I meet all eligibility requirements as specified on this application. I release this information to the staff, faculty, and board members of The Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota) and the Antiquarian Book School Foundation (ABSF) for the purposes of evaluating my fellowship application. If awarded the fellowship, I understand that Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota) and ABSF may share limited personal information, such as my name and affiliated institutions, with third parties via listservs, the CABS-Minnesota website, and/or grant applications. Personal information about identities, such as race,sexuality, gender, disabilities, etc., will not be shared with third parties.
